Summer camp for ukrainian children 2016

“Lastivka” in a collaboration with the Ukrainian Embassy in Denmark would like to repeat the last year’s successful summer camp for children, who lost their parents because of the military conflict in Ukraine.
It has already taken thousand lives and forced more than 2 million people to leave their homes. Despite several ceasefire agreements the military abuse and the number of dead and injured people grows every day. Therefore we cannot hold back from the help to the children, affected by the war.
The positive experience from the last year’s summer camp for 44 Ukrainian children in Ikast and Ålborg has inspired us to continue the work to help more children, which have a difficult life.
The purpose of our project is to give the children new growth and quality time far from the depressive routine. We are convinced that summer camp is a good chance to give the children their joy back, enjoy the fellowship and find new friends.
Dates: 1.08.2016 – 15.08.2016.
Locations: Copenhagen, Ålborg og Ikast.
Target group: 60 kids
from the different regions of Ukraine, who lost at least one parent, age 9 -14 years.
We kindly ask You to support this project. We appreciate any kind of help and even the smallest contribution makes a difference. The contribution can be, for example: transportation, stay, food or various entertainments.

Urgent action regarding Russia-backed terrorism

29 July 2014

His Excellency Tony Abbott

Prime Minister of Australia

G20 President

Parliament House

Australia

email: G20info@pmc.gov.au

Dear Prime Minister:

Urgent action regarding Russia-backed terrorism

We, the Ukrainian Community in Denmark and friends of Ukraine, would like to express our condolences following the tragic deaths of some 30 Australian citizens and residents on Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.

We would like to support initiative of Ukrainian World Congress in urging you as G20 President to take the necessary measures to end President Vladimir Putin’s reign of terror that is threatening the world by calling on the G20 Leaders to immediately:

  1. impose targeted sector-specific sanctions (third level sanctions) against Russia;
  2. provide military aid to Ukraine in order to remove the menace to the international community posed by Russia-backed terrorists in Eastern Ukraine;
  3. deny Russia’s President Vladimir Putin the privilege of participating in the upcoming G20 Leaders Summit on 15 and 16 November 2014 in Brisbane, Queensland; and
  4. invite Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko to attend the G20 Leaders Summit in Australia.

If the G20 Leaders do not act promptly and decisively, Russia will be emboldened to further threaten

peace and security, not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world, bringing even more suffering and death of innocent people.

Along with the letter we add a letter from Ukrainian World Congress.

With sincerest gratitude,

Alina Protsyk

Petition to Russian Embassy

Petition to Russian Embassy
We, the Ukrainian Community in Denmark and friends of Ukraine, are writing to the Government of Russia. We are deeply upset and shocked with Russian intervention which began with annexation of Crimea in March 2014 and continued with support and organization of armed separatist-terrorist movements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, so called “DNR” (Donetsk People Republic) and “LNR” (Luhansk People Republic) who’s main goals are separation and destabilization of Ukraine.
Activities of such groups are an integral part of “hybrid” war conducted by Russia against Ukraine which is confirmed by irrefutable evidences of involvement of Russian military and special operations personnel in organization of and participation in the separatist-terrorist movements.
There are numerous evidences of illegal supply of materials along with light and heavy weapons (including tanks, artillery, multiple rocket launchers and surface to air missile systems) from Russia to the terrorist groups.
There are documented cases of shelling of Ukrainian territory by mortars, artillery and missiles from the Russian territory.
According to National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine , on 23 July 2014, Russia has concentrated on its border with Ukraine 41000 troops, 150 tanks, 400 of armored vehicles and 500 artillery systems.
Aforementioned war activities conducted by Russia lead to numerous civilian casualties of Ukrainian citizens and citizens of other counties as it was in the case with flight MH17.
Along with military aggression against Ukraine, Russia kidnaps Ukrainian citizens on Ukrainian territory as in the case with Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko, illegally detains Ukrainian citizens as in the case with Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov and Ukrainian reporter Yevgeny Agarkov.

Russia bluntly put the sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine under a threat and violates:
• provisions of the UN Charter;
• Final Act of the Conference on Security & Cooperation in Europe, 1975;
• the terms of Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, 1994;
• Agreement about Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Russian Federation and Ukraine, 1997.

Regarding this we are requesting Russian Government to take their agreed responsibilities accordingly to the international law and demand following:
1) Withdraw Russian armed forces from the territory of Ukraine and stop shelling Ukrainian territory;
2) Stop supplying terrorist organizations LNR and DNR with funds, materials and weapon;
3) Request terrorist organizations DNR and LNR to give up their arms;
4) Release kidnapped and detained Ukrainian citizens Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and Yevgeny Agarkov;
5) Stop spreading disinformation about events in Ukraine and not to interfere with the work of journalists.
With sincerest gratitude,
Alina Protsyk

Revoking the privilege granted to Russia of hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Dear Mr. Blatter,

We, the Ukrainian Community in Denmark and friends of Ukraine, would like to support initiative of Ukrainian World Congress in urging FIFA to consider blatant disregard by Russian government  for international law, which manifests in annexation of Crimea and direct support of terrorism in Eastern Ukraine.

We would like to call upon FIFA to revoke the privilege granted to Russia of hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup, an honour of which Russia has proven itself unworthy.

Along with the letter we add a letter from Ukrainian World Congress.

With sincerest gratitude,

Alina Protsyk

Urgent call for effective collective measures by the United Nations in response to Russia’s
illegal acts of aggression against Ukraine

Dear Sirs,

We, the Ukrainian Community in Denmark and friends of Ukraine, would like to support initiative of Ukrainian World Congress in urging the United Nations to consider the severity of the repercussions on global peace and security of President Vladimir Putin’s actions and imperialistic ambitions and to urgently take effective collective measures in response to Russia’s illegal acts of aggression against Ukraine by:

• confirming that no threat to Russian or other minorities exist in Ukraine, that Russia’s claims to the contrary are without basis and that the presence of Russia’s forces in Ukraine (including Crimea) are illegal and сonstitute a clear act of aggression pursuant to the UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 (XXIX);
• suspending Russia’s rights and privileges of membership in the United Nations in view of its flagrant violations of the Charter of the United Nations and other international obligations in accordance with Article 18.2 of the said Charter;
• sending UN peacekeeping forces to Ukraine to protect it from any further invasion by Russia and
• applying severe sanctions against Russia for its outrageous violations of world peace and security.
